What is your style of videography?

My style of videography is a blend of cinematic and documentary techniques. I use multiple cameras and carefully select shots to create a cohesive and engaging viewing experience. I also use high-quality audio recording equipment to capture clear and natural-sounding audio.

In post-production, I use editing software to carefully craft the footage into a beautiful and emotionally-charged final product. My aim is to capture the atmosphere and emotions of the day, as well as the special moments and details that make each wedding unique.

Yes, I have filmed many weddings and have gained a lot of experience.

Having experience in filming weddings is advantageous because it allows a me to be familiar with the flow and logistics of a typical wedding day. This has helped me to anticipate important moments and plan for the best angles and camera placements to capture them. Experience has also taught me to be prepared for potential challenges that may arise, such as technical issues or changes in the schedule.

Additionally, experience has helped me to understand the desires and expectations of their clients, and create a final product that meets those needs.

Can I give you a list of things that need capturing during the day?

I am happy to consider having a shot list for your wedding day to help me home in on some details that are important to you.

I will do my best to capture as much of the footage on your list as possible, but please understand that I cannot guarantee that every single shot will be captured.

How do you capture audio during the ceremony and reception?

Accepted Answer

I capture audio during a wedding day in a number of ways.

I use a shotgun microphone attached to the camera to captured any sounds that are in the direction that the lens is pointing.  During the ceremony and speeches I will also use wireless microphones on the bride and groom, as well as on any important speakers, to capture high-quality audio of their voices.

Additionally, I will sometimes use a separate audio recorder to capture ambient sounds and background noise, which can add a sense of atmosphere to the final video.
