What happens on a typical wedding day?

Every wedding is different, but there are some common events and activities that typically take place on a wedding day. Here is a general outline of what you can expect on a typical wedding day:

  • The bride and groom, along with their wedding party, will get ready for the ceremony. This may involve hair and makeup, putting on dresses and suits, and finalizing details.

  • The ceremony will take place at the designated time and location. This may be a traditional religious ceremony, a civil ceremony, or a non-traditional ceremony.

  • After the ceremony, there may be a receiving line where the bride and groom greet and thank their guests.

  • The wedding party and the bride and groom will typically take photos together and with individual guests. This can take place at the ceremony location or at a nearby location.

  • The reception will take place at the designated time and location. This may involve a cocktail hour, dinner, speeches, dancing, and other activities.

  • The reception will typically end with the bride and groom making their grand exit, either by leaving together or with a send-off from their guests.

Again, every wedding is different and may not follow this exact timeline. However, this provides a general idea of what you can expect on a typical wedding day.
